McGill Community Watch

Welcome to McGill Neighborhood Watch!

Basically McGill Place is a safe community with occasional car break-ins. The half-built balconies have also attracted some attempted break-ins.  But a rash of mailbox robberies during November and December 2023 found McGill Place very vulnerable to other perpetrators of crime. Also in this time period our cameras became under-utilized as tools of prevention. Thus this committee is being formed to watch the cameras and be aware of crime prevention protocols as advised by community crime prevention professionals:

1/15/2024 We are at Step 1.
Step 1: Recruit and organize as many neighbors as possible.
Step 2: Contact your local law enforcement agency and schedule a meeting. Zone 6 https://www.npumatlanta.org/about/committees/safety/
Step 3: Discuss community concerns and develop an action plan.
Step 4: Hold regular meetings and hold training on relevant skills.

McGill Place is in City of Atlanta Police Dept (APD)  Zone 6.
Emergency contact is made by dialing 9-1-1
